Priorities

Build a thriving local economy
The reality is that foot traffic still hasn’t recovered from the pandemic to support our small mom and pop businesses, and with rising costs, we need to find creative ways to become a bustling destination for commerce. By investing in our creative district, we can build our city's profile as a cultural beacon for global cuisine and culture. We need to keep more restaurants and shops open and grow incentives to attract new jobs and opportunities.
Economic prosperity isn't just for our downtown core. By expanding corner stores and cafes along neighborhood nodes throughout our city, we can build connection and community for our neighborhoods.
Affordable Housing
The solution to housing affordability is both more inventory and diversity of housing types. By building medium housing including duplexes, townhomes, and cottage style housing, we can build quality, affordable low income and work force housing in every neighborhood. We need a path to ownership that actually works for families with equitable access to schools, parks and public transit.

Enhance our Parks
Preserving and protecting our green spaces from the impacts of climate change and air pollution is critical for future generations. On council, I will work to protect our ecosystems and natural habitats, expand our tree canopy, and champion for enhanced amenities for all neighborhood parks. We can do more to build connectivity for our trails and bike paths for a safe, walkable and bikeable city.
Safe Streets
We all want compassionate solutions to address the lack of shelter for the homeless. I believe the city can be a collaborative and proactive partner to address the root causes of homelessness, while also supporting our public safety officers to protect our city from violent crime, property damage, and theft.
